Postnatal Reformer Pilates 7 Week Course

Get your body moving postpartum in a safe and supportive environment. This class is designed for women who are rehabilitating postpartum and would like to return to exercise in a way that feels safe, supportive, and achievable.

Babies are welcome too, so you can focus on rebuilding strength and stability, take some time for yourself, and feel strong and supported in your postpartum recovery.

What are the benefits?

  • reconnect with your Pilates breath, helping to strengthen your core and pelvic floor

  • improve your posture, strengthen your back, and open your chest, which can become tight from feeding and carrying your baby

  • tone and strengthen the inner thighs and glutes to support your pelvis

  • may help reduce pelvic and lower back discomfort

  • more energy

  • time to do something for yourself, while breathing, strengthening, stabilising, and connecting with other mums in a safe and enjoyable environment

Please make sure your baby is settled and not yet on the move, and is happy on a mat, or in a bouncer, capsule, or pram. Safety first.

You will need to book a one-on-one initial assessment with a Pilates specialist before starting the course. This introduces you to the fundamentals and basic principles of Pilates and helps us assess what your body needs so you can get the most out of your classes. If you are already experienced on the reformer, this may not be necessary.

"As a pelvic health physiotherapist, I know how important exercise is for both physical and mental health during pregnancy. I feel confident referring my pregnant patients to Balance Pilates antenatal classes, because I know my patients are in safe hands. The staff at Balance Pilates are trained in antenatal Pilates and know how to adjust and modify exercises to keep my patients safe. "
